USC Business Professionals' Forum
The University of the Sunshine Coast, in association with CPA Australia and The Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia are delighted to invite business people in our region to attend the October USC Business Professionals' Forum on Thursday 19th November at 5.30pm. These events are designed to allow business people in our region the opportunity to hear a high profile guest speaker address an issue of relevance plus allowing time for networking among members of the various professional bodies and industry groups attending.
Our November forum will feature a panel of 3 special guests. We are delighted to welcome:
Dr John Montgomery, internationally recognised authority and master planner in the economy, culture and design of cities who has been involved in numerous major projects including the Greater London Development Plan and the Economic Development Strategy for the South East of England and is currently working on projects in Brisbane and NSW.
Dr Hugh Lavery, environmental advisor to some of the biggest companies in Australia including Stanbroke and Meridien.
Dr Mark Bachels, Regional Director of Parsons Brinckerhoff, a leading planning, environment and infrastructure firm. The panel will be chaired by Mike Hefferan USC’s Professor of Property & Development and robust discussion is guaranteed.
The topic for the forum is "Urban Development on the Sunshine Coast—is consensus possible?”
